Shefali Jariwala has been laid to rest at Mumbai’s Oshiwara Crematorium. Her father, brother, and husband performed her last rites as per Hindu traditions.

Earlier, when Hindustani Bhau visited the RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital where Shefali was taken post her demise, he addressed the media saying, “She was like my family. More than a sister, she was my child”.A lot of members from the fraternity were present at the funeral to pay their last respects.

Shefali passed away on the night of June 27 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Official confirmation to be out with postmortem reports.

When her husband took her to the hospital, she was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Minister of State for Home Affairs, Yogesh Kadam assured a thorough investigation into the sudden death of the 42-year-old actress.

Speaking to IANS, he shared, “The police have gathered information, and the investigation is ongoing. If there is any foul play or if any complaint is received, we will definitely examine that angle and conduct a thorough inquiry. We cannot speculate at this stage, but if there is any doubt, action will be taken.”

Additionally, police have also recorded the statements of eight people in the matter including statements of the family members, servants and the doctor at Bellevue Hospital.

The signals have been used since conflict broke out between Israel and Iran early this month, which led the U.S. to strike Iranian nuclear sites.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said this in response to a query on the advisory issued recently by the US for its citizens travelling to India.

In the June 16 advisory, the US urged its citizens to exercise “increased caution” due to crime and rape, and advised them not to travel to certain parts of central and eastern parts of the country due to terrorism.

The travel advisory also states that “rape is one of the fastest growing crimes in India” and violent crimes, including sexual assault, happen at tourist sites and other locations.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at SCO Meet in Qingdao on June 25–26

Sending a stern message to India’s neighbours, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has refused to sign a joint statement at a Shanghai Cooperation Organisation meet because it did not mention the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 innocent lives and did not reflect India’s strong position on terror. While skipping any mention of Pahalgam, the document mentioned Balochistan, tacitly accusing India of creating unrest there. Pahalgam’s exclusion from the document appears to have been done at Pakistan’s behest as its all-weather ally, China, holds the Chair now. 

India has consistently trashed Pakistan’s allegations about its involvement in Balochistan and said Islamabad must look within and stop backing terror instead of making wild allegations. 

India is not satisfied with the language of the joint document. There was no mention of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, there was mention of the incidents that happened in Pakistan, so India refused to sign the joint declaration, and there is no joint communique either,” a Defence Ministry source said.

Mr Singh is currently in China’s Qingdao to attend the SCO Defence Ministers’ meeting. The summit is being attended by member states, including Russia, Pakistan and China, to discuss issues related to regional and international security. Established in 2001, SCO aims to promote regional stability through cooperation. The bloc currently has 10 member states — Belarus, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Addressing the summit, the Defence Minister called upon SCO members to unite to eliminate terrorism for collective safety and security. He said the biggest challenges faced by the region are related to peace, security and trust deficit, with radicalisation, extremism and terrorism being the root cause of these problems.

“Peace and prosperity cannot co-exist with terrorism and proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction in the hands of non-state actors and terror groups. Dealing with these challenges requires decisive action. It is imperative that those who sponsor, nurture and utilise terrorism for their narrow and selfish ends must bear the consequences. Some countries use cross-border terrorism as an instrument of policy and provide shelter to terrorists. There should be no place for such double standards. SCO should not hesitate to criticise such nations,” Mr Singh, taking in a veiled swipe at Pakistan.

Referring to the Pahalgam terror attack, he said India had exercised its right to defend against terrorism and pre-empt as well as deter further cross-border attacks. “During the Pahalgam terror attack, victims were shot after they were profiled on religious identity. The Resistance Front, a proxy of UN-designated terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) claimed responsibility for the attack. The pattern of Pahalgam attack matches with LeT’s previous terror attacks in India. India’s zero tolerance for terrorism was demonstrated through its actions. It includes our right to defend ourselves against terrorism. We have shown that epicentres of terrorism are no longer safe and we will not hesitate to target them,” he said.

He stressed the need to hold perpetrators, organisers, financiers and sponsors of terror and to bring them to justice. He termed any and every act of terrorism as criminal and unjustifiable. SCO members, he said, must condemn this evil unequivocally.

बीते कुछ दिनों से राजस्थान में भीषण गर्मी का दौर जारी है राजस्थान में गर्मी रोज नया रिकॉर्ड बना रही है. शुक्रवार को तो हद ही हो गई. शुक्रवार को राजस्थान में इस सीजन का सबसे अधिक तापमान रिकॉर्ड हुआ. लेकिन क्या आप जानते हैं कि राजस्थान में पड़ रही इस भीषण गर्मी के पीछे पाकिस्तान एक बड़ा कारण है. मौसम विज्ञान विभाग के वैज्ञानिक ने जब इस बात की जानकारी दी तो हर कोई हैरान रह गया. लेकिन उन्होंने इसके पीछे का कारण भी बताए. जयपुर स्थित मौसम विज्ञान विभाग के निदेशक राधेश्याम शर्मा ने NDTV से बातचीत में बताया कि इस अत्यधिक तापमान की बड़ी वजह पाकिस्तान के शुष्क इलाकों से आने वाली गर्म हवाएं हैं.

राधेश्याम शर्मा ने कहा,”सीमा के उस पार का इलाका रेगिस्तानी है, और जब पाकिस्तान की ओर से गर्म, सूखी हवाएं इस ओर आती हैं तो तापमान सामान्य से कई डिग्री ऊपर चला जाता है.” बता दें कि शुक्रवार को राजस्थान में तापमान 49 डिग्री के ऊपर रिकॉर्ड हुआ. शुक्रवार को राजस्थान के सीमाई जिले श्रीगंगानगर में अधिकतम तापमान 49.4 डिग्री पारा रिकॉर्ड किया गया. जो इस सीजन का अभी तक सबसे अधिक तापमान है. 

साल 2016 में फलोदी में 51 डिग्री पहुंचा था पारा

मौसम विज्ञान विभाग के निदेशक राधेश्याम शर्मा ने बताया कि साल  2016 में फलोदी में 51 डिग्री सेल्सियस का तापमान रिकॉर्ड किया गया था, जो अब तक का राष्ट्रीय रिकॉर्ड है. फिलहाल उसके टूटने की संभावना नहीं है, क्योंकि 15 जून से राज्य में प्री-मॉनसून गतिविधियाँ शुरू हो सकती हैं. लेकिन इससे पहले राजस्थान के ज्यादातर हिस्सों में गर्मी चरम पर है.

जयपुर स्थित मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र के अनुसार, शुक्रवार को गंगानगर में अधिकतम तापमान सामान्य से 7.9 डिग्री अधिक 49.4 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया, जो इस मौसम में सबसे अधिक है. शहर में 14 जून 1934 को अधिकतम तापमान 50 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया था.

राजा रघुवंशी मर्डर मामले ने देश को झकझोर कर दिया है. हर किसी की नजर इस मामले में लगी हुई है. हालांकि इस बीच एक खबर ने हर किसी का ध्‍यान अपनी ओर खींचा है, जिसमें पवित्र नगरी उज्जैन में राजा रघुवंशी के परिजनों ने दिवंगत आत्मा के लिए ‘पिंडदान’ अनुष्ठान किया. खास बात ये रही कि इस अनुष्‍ठान में मुख्य आरोपी सोनम रघुवंशी का भाई गोविंद भी शामिल हुआ. सोनम को चार अन्य लोगों के साथ अपने पति राजा की हत्या के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया है. राजा की हत्या तब की गई जब वे दोनों पूर्वोत्तर राज्य मेघालय में हनीमून मना रहे थे.

गोविंद ने दोहराया कि वह राजा के परिवार के साथ खड़ा है, क्योंकि वह न्याय की लड़ाई लड़ रहा है.

सोनम पर आरोप है कि उसने अपने कथित प्रेमी राज कुशवाह (20) के साथ मिलकर भाड़े के तीन हत्यारों के जरिये अपने पति की हत्या कराई, ताकि उसे रास्ते से हटाया जा सके.

राजा रघुवंशी हत्याकांड के पांचों आरोपी फिलहाल मेघालय पुलिस की हिरासत में हैं, जिनसे पूछताछ के जरिये इस वारदात की कड़ियां जोड़ी जा रही हैं.

राजा और सोनम 23 मई को मेघालय के पूर्वी खासी हिल्स जिले के सोहरा इलाके में छुट्टियां मनाते समय लापता हो गए थे. राजा का शव दो जून को एक खड्ड में मिला था, जबकि सोनम घटना के बाद से लापता थी. 

सोनम ने उत्तर प्रदेश के गाजीपुर जिले में पुलिस के सामने आठ जून को देर रात आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया, जबकि कुशवाहा समेत चार आरोपियों को मध्यप्रदेश और उत्तर प्रदेश के अलग-अलग इलाकों से गिरफ्तार किया गया था.
